Exhibition Success 2010
A STUNNING RECORD BREAKING SUCCESS
"Well, what a weekend that was...just amazing" was the reaction from Andrew when asked about his last One Man Exhibition at the English Wine Centre near Alfriston. He continued, "We had so many visitors and we sold a record number of paintings. When I looked around the barn at five o'clock on the Sunday afternoon when everybody had left there were hardly any paintings remaining. We started with ninety six paintings on Saturday morning and the majority of them have been sold....And all this in gloomy times!"
This was the fourth year that Sussex artist Andrew Dandridge had held his annual One Man Exhibition in the old barn at the English Wine Centre just beside the A27 near Alfriston, East Sussex. "This venue is perfect for us with such a large display area, on site parking, a wine shop and a restaurant. In fact the restaurant was so busy with our visitors there was a queue for tables."
Once again Valerie, daughter Naomi and Valerie's sister Rosemary were a vital part of the team assisting and welcoming all the visitors, many of whom were new and had only recently discovered Andrew's work. "We had people come from as far as North Wales to be at this exhibition and again with a large queue at the door at 10.00 am we new we were in for a really busy time"
